Axure RP files are organized into pages, which you can manage in the Pages pane.

To add a page, click the Add Page button at the top-right of the Pages pane.

The 7.0.0.3190 version of Axure RP Pro for Mac is provided as a free download on our website. The actual developer of this software for Mac is Axure Software Solutions, Inc. Commonly, this application's installer has the following filename: axurerp-pro-setup.dmg.

Double-click a page's name in the Pages pane to open it on the canvas.

The Canvas

The canvas is where you'll build your designs. You can work without boundaries, or you can set page dimensions based on the target device you're designing for.

Widgets

You’ll build your designs using widgets, which are organized into libraries in the Libraries pane. Axure RP comes with four widget libraries pre-installed — Default, Flow, Icons, and Sample UI Patterns — but you can also create your own or add libraries created by your teammates.

To add a widget to the canvas, drag it from the Libraries pane. You can also use the options in the Insert menu to add text, images, and shapes.

To edit the text on a widget, double click it, or select it and press ENTER.

To change the visual appearance of your widgets, head over to the Style pane. Many properties like fill color and font are also located in the style toolbar along the top of the canvas for quick access.

Interactions

Once you have some widgets on the canvas, you can add interactivity to them in the Interactions pane.

Link to Another Page

It's simple and quick to create links between pages in your prototype.

  1. In the Pages pane, add a new page. You should now have two pages, Page 1 and Page 2.

  2. On Page 1, drag a button widget onto the canvas from the Libraries pane.

  3. Select the button and click Click or Tap → Open Link in the Interactions pane.

  4. Select Page 2 in the list that appears and click OK.

  5. Click the Preview button at the top-right of the UI to open the prototype in your web browser.

  6. Click the button to go to Page 2.

Showing and Hiding Widgets

You can also dynamically show and hide widgets on the page. Learn how in the Hiding and Showing Widgets tutorial.

Interactive Style Effects

You can use style effects to change a widget's visual appearance when it's moused over, clicked on, and more. Learn how in the Interactive Button tutorial.

Sharing Your Prototypes

When you're ready to show your work to your teammates and stakeholders, you can either publish to Axure Cloud for free, or to one of our private hosting solutions with Axure Cloud for Business.

Click the Share button at the top-right of the UI and give your project a name and password. Then click Publish to get a shareable link to the hosted project.

Windows installation

Important

Beginning with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 18.7, Azure Data Studio is automatically installed alongside SSMS. Users of SQL Server Management Studio are now able to benefit from the innovations and features in Azure Data Studio. Azure Data Studio is a cross-platform and open-source desktop tool for your environments, whether in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid.

This release of Azure Data Studio includes a standard Windows installer experience and a .zip file.

We recommend the user installer, which simplifies installations and updates and doesn't require Administrator privileges. (It doesn't require Administrator privileges because the location is under your user Local AppData (LOCALAPPDATA) folder.) The user installer also provides a smoother background update experience. For more information, see User setup for Windows.

You can also install Azure Data Studio by using a command prompt script.

For Windows, install Azure Data Studio in the background without prompts by doing the following:

Check for updates

To check for the latest updates, on the left pane, select Manage (gear icon), and then select Check for Updates.

To apply environment updates offline, install the latest version directly over your previously installed version. You don't need to uninstall earlier versions of Azure Data Studio. If an earlier version is present, the installer automatically updates to the latest version.

Move user settings

If you're updating SQL Operations Studio to Azure Data Studio and want to keep your settings, keyboard shortcuts, or code snippets, do the following:

If you've already installed Azure Data Studio or you've never installed or customized SQL Operations Studio, you can ignore this section.

  1. On the left pane, select Manage (gear icon) and then select Settings.

  2. At the top, right-click the User Settings tab, and then select Reveal in Explorer.

  3. Copy all files in this folder and save them in an easy-to-find location on your local drive, such as your Documents folder.

  4. In your updated version of Azure Data Studio, follow steps 1 and 2 and then, for step 3, paste the contents you saved into the folder. You can also manually copy over the settings, key bindings, or snippets in their respective locations.

  5. If you're overriding your current installation, before you do so, delete the old installation directory to avoid errors connecting to your Azure account for the resource explorer.

Uninstall Azure Data Studio from Windows

If you installed Azure Data Studio by using the Windows installer, uninstall it just as you would any Windows application.

If you installed Azure Data Studio with a .zip file or other archive, delete that file.

Uninstall Azure Data Studio from macOS

You can uninstall apps from the internet or disc on Mac by doing the following:

  1. Select the Finder icon in the Dock, and then select Applications in the Finder sidebar.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • If an app is in a folder, open the app's folder to check for an uninstaller. Double-click Uninstall [App] or [App] Uninstaller, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

    • If an app isn't in a folder or doesn't have an uninstaller, drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash (at the end of the Dock).

To uninstall apps you've downloaded from the App Store, use Launchpad.
